Aims and Scope

Climate change and its hazardous consequences have been fundamental challenges to human progress, especially in recent decades. Understanding these changes and related phenomena is a primary mission of climatologists. With the knowledge and explanation of these transformations and the risks associated with them, the possibility of more robust and effective management and planning based on this knowledge will be facilitated and achievable.

The Journal of Climate Change and Natural Hazards aims to provide a platform for publishing scientific and research findings for faculty members, students of higher education, and other experts in the fields of climatology and related sciences (such as hydrology, meteorology, agricultural sciences, etc.). The journal has been launched to contribute to the understanding and explanation of climate change and natural hazards, especially in Iran. This initiative can serve as a foundation for expanding the boundaries of knowledge. Likewise, advancing the scientific system of planning and developing the country in areas related to managing the impacts of climate change and hazards, as well as planning based on relevant knowledge. At the same time, creating a platform to enhance the quantitative and qualitative capabilities of specialized experts and improve educational and research activities in the aforementioned fields is another significant aim of launching this journal.

Now that this space has been provided, it is expected by scholars who conduct research in fields related to the scope of activities of this journal to send their scientific research findings to the office of this journal so that by publishing them, on the one hand, the ground for scientific exchange and contribution to the expansion of the boundaries of science and knowledge can be achieved, and on the other hand, the possibility of benefiting from these findings for planners, policymakers, and executive managers can be provided.

This journal accepts articles that are the result of the innovation of researchers and authors by the help of the evaluation of expert reviewers.

Journal of Climate Change and Natural Hazards accepts articles in the following fields:

  1. Research studies (case studies) in the field of changing climatic variables (elements, phenomena, processes and profiles), especially for the entire country and its climatic regions.
  2. Research studies (case studies) in the field of climatic hazards (foreign climatic elements, phenomena, and processes), especially for the entire country and its climatic regions.
  3. Review and analytical studies in theoretical - fundamental fields related to climate change based on previous empirical studies.
